Bob Hildreth

Robert “Bob” Hildreth

 

Bob was born in Boston, MA.  He graduated from high school in Columbia, MO where he and his brothers worked the family cattle ranch. Bob graduated from the Citadel in 1982 with a degree in business administration.  

He was commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant in the US Army and became an Army aviator, flying attack helicopters and serving as a Huey instructor pilot. After promotion to captain, he was an instructor pilot in the Spanish language Latin American military officers and was selected to serve as the US Embassy’s field coordinator for counter-narcotics operations in Peru. Subsequently he was assigned to Washington DC as the State Department’s Air Wing operations officer. He is a Major in the United States Army Reserves and has the classification of Senior Army Aviator.

In 1991 he purchased a business in the Dominican Republic and has continued to invest and grow a local financial company. He is president of Vol Cris S.A., Grupo Las Americas, Ltd, Project Las Americas (US Non-profit) and Managing Trustee of the Jon Michael Wright Charitable Foundation.

Bob was very active in his community and a dedicated member in Rotary where he held several leadership positions and received numerous awards. 

Bob and his wife Ysabel and two daughters, Amelia and Ysabel Marie moved to Sebastian from the Dominican Republic in 2021.  In their leisure time, the family enjoys swimming, cycling, rock climbing and traveling.
