ROTARY RESCUES

MISSION

The mission of Rotary Rescues is to prevent drownings worldwide through education, awareness, and rescue equipment implementation.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Collectively, there are over 200 (Made in the USA) flotation stations along the public beaches and open waters of Florida.  Each station has installed an orange life-saving ring to provide assistance to distressed swimmers in the event the beach is unguarded or a lifeguard is off-duty.

OUR INITIATIVE

Sunrise Rotary is proud to be a sponsor of 67 stations - so far.  Many water access areas in our community remain unguarded.  Our goal is to install a station at each of these areas, thus making Indian River County safer for all who visit our waterways.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

Local businesses, service clubs, and residents are being sought to "adopt" stations to offset the building and maintenance costs.  Sponsorship opportunities are available for stations, ATV sponsors, and building sponsors.
